The partition of India in 1947 was one of the most traumatic events of the twentieth century. The Radcliffe Line, which severed Punjab into two– East Punjab on the Indian side and West Punjab on the Pakistan side– resulted in the greatest displacement of human population in living memory.

REUNIONS  is dedicated to the yearning and pining of Punjabis to revisit their roots from where they were dislocated.

Whenever Punjabis visit either side of the border there is an unmistakable feeling that a part of the Punjabi psyche and soul resides in the other half.

SARHAD will invite and facilitate groups of upto 15-20 persons from India and Pakistan age 70 plus, who wish to visit their hometown, alma mater, professional institution etc on the other side of the border.

The mission of REUNIONS is to help people to reconnect with their roots, persons,  places on the other side of the border.
